Bill Wyman

William George Wyman was born in south east London and joined The Rolling Stones in 1962.

To date, Bill has written four books: his autobiography, Stone Alone: The Story of a Rock and Roll Band(1990), Wyman Shoots Chagall(1998), which features a selection of informal photographs taken by Bill of the late artist and Bill Wyman's Blues Odyssey (2001), which was also a TV series. His fourth book, Rolling With The Stones, is available from October 2002 and is the essential history of The Rolling Stones.

In addition to over 30 Stones albums, Bill has released solo recordings including Monkey Grip, Stone Alone, and "(Si Si) Je Suis Un Rockstar" and in 1985 an album of roots rock'n'roll - Willie and The Poor Boys.

In 1996, with his co-writer Terry Taylor, Bill Wyman formed a new band playing a mixture of Jazz and Blues, The Rhythm Kings. Other band members include Georgie Fame, Albert Lee, Martin Taylor, and Gary Booker. The band has released three albums - Struttin' Our Stuff, Anyway the Wind Blows and Groovin'. The third album, Groovin', went straight to the No. 1 spot on the UK Jazz and Blues charts. The band tours regularly and their fourth album will be released in the spring of 2001. In Bill Wyman's Blues Odyssey, and the accompanying TV series, Bill acknowledges the debt he owes, as a musician, to the great Blues players.

Bill is married to Susanne Accosta, and they have three young daughters - Katherine Noelle, Jessica Rose, and Matilda Mae. Bill also has a son, Stephen, from a previous marriage. The family has homes in London, the South of France, and in Suffolk, England.
