Alanna Nash

Alanna Nash is a renowned country music specialist. In 2004, she won the Country Music Association’s Media Achievement award, as well as the Belmont Award for the Best Book in Country Music. The author of six books, including The Colonel: The Extraordinary Story of Colonel Tom Parker and Elvis Presley and Dolly: The Biography, she also wrote Golden Girl: The Story of Jessica Savitch, which inspired Touchstone Pictures’ Up Close and Personal, starring Robert Redford and Michelle Pfeiffer. Named one of the “Heavy 100 of Country Music” by Esquire magazine, Nash has profiled entertainers for such publications as Reader’s Digest, People, TV Guide, Entertainment Weekly, USA Weekend, and the New York Times.
