Joanna has authored many titles on food and wine and her book, Discovering Wine, has sold over 250,000 copies. Her latest title The Sunday Times Book of Wine (Dorling Kindersley 2004) offers comprehensive coverage, with descriptions of over 70 grape varieties.
She has won many awards including the Glenfiddich Wine Writer of the Year award in 1992 and the 1997 Premier Cru wine writing award. Joanna lives in London where she writes as wine correspondent for The Sunday Times.
