Kate Cronan, M.D.
Kate Cronan, M.D. is the chief of the Emergency Department at the Nemours A. I. duPont Hospital for Children and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. A graduate of Temple University School of Medicine, she completed a residency in pediatrics, and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In addition to 18 years of clinical experience in the Emergency Department setting, she has served as a medical editor for 10 years with KidsHealth.org. She has published peer-reviewed articles and has authored numerous chapters for the leading textbooks in her field. She has co-edited a popular textbook, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Secrets, and also First Aid for Kids. Dr. Cronan has had many media exposures, and writes a monthly health column in a local newspaper. She serves on numerous hospital committees and task forces, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware. She is married to a physician and is the mother of 3 children, ages 11-15.
