Schlesinger, the chef and co-owner of East Coast Grill and was named “Best Chef of the Northeast” at the James Beard Awards in 1996.  Willoughby, executive editor of Gourmet magazine and formerly senior editor of Cooks Illustrated, specializes in food, travel and health writing.

About the authors

Chris Schlesinger is a James Beard Award winning chef and co-owner of the East Coast Grill in Cambridge, MA.  John Willoughby is the Executive Editor of Gourmet.  Together, they are co-authors of 9 cookbooks, including the award-winning Thrill of the Grill.
