DK has always been environmentally conscious at its center. One of DK’s first books was John Seymour’s celebrated Complete Self-Sufficiency, a book still in print after 30 years.

The new Made with Care series takes our trademark values of excellence and care, which are at the heart of everything we do, and makes our books the greenest they can be. We’ve asked difficult and searching questions of our suppliers to ensure that these books have been made with the most ethical and environmental production processes possible. The result of this is that we are asking the same searching questions of our suppliers and printers for the whole of DK’s output in our journey towards becoming as green as possible. We are continuously checking our suppliers to ensure that all those we deal with meet our high ethical and environmental standards as well. We want to be completely open with our readers about how we make all of our books.
