Digging a little deeper

• When I dived the Stella, I hadn’t read the newspaper cutting about graveyards on page 39. The article reminded me that ships sometimes sink on top of earlier wrecks.
  

• I’d even dived a double wreck myself once - the Demetrios on page 5.
  
• The glass bottle I found on the Stella dive was much older than the yacht - it came from an earlier wreck.

• In fact, the treasure lay hidden beneath the Stella, where an older wreck had settled on the seabed more than 200 years ago. That’s where the bottle came from, too.

No wonder Joe’s riddle said BELOW, UNDER, BENEATH!

The treasure dates back to the 18th century. Maybe it is plunder from a pirate ship...
